Greater Than 3
Greater Than 3 is a privately funded pilot program developed to help lower-income teens 13-15 years old improve their math skills and learn to love math. Targeted to selected public school districts in the United States, the program focuses on peer-group learning.
The logo is made up of the greater-than sign along with the numeral 3 and is a play on the social media text icon “<3” symbolizing love.
Visual design is heroic in scale and vibrancy, and projects math as a superpower – illustrated in the display posters.
A combination of digital and print communications was created, available to parents who have digital access and to those who do not. Components include a website, information brochure, one-sheets, and postcards.
Materials for qualifying students include branded copybooks, pencils, temporary tattoos and t-shirts.
The mix of imagery used in the program components covers an inclusive range of participants.
